Task management
that stays out of the way

Simpler than a project management tool, more structured than a to-do list. Ordna keeps everything local and needs no account.

01 — Overview

For anyone who needs more than a checklist.

Ordna manages tasks and projects without the overhead of Jira, Asana or Notion. No setup, no mandatory fields, no dependencies or Gantt charts. Your data lives in a local database on your own computer.

  1. 01One action — one or two decisions per step at most
  2. 02No setup — useful from the first task
  3. 03Three tabs — Focus, Projects, Tasks
  4. 04Local first — no account, no cloud required
02 — Workflow

A light workflow, not a process.

  1. 1Capture

    Type a title, done

A new task needs only a title. Project, date or effort can be added later, when they matter.

  2. 2Plan

    Pull from the backlog

Whatever comes next moves to Next up. Tasks without a project are fine.

  3. 3Work

    In progress or waiting

Active tasks are marked In progress, blocked ones Waiting.

  4. 4Finish

    Done

Recurring tasks create their next due date automatically once you tick them off.

03 — Features

What Ordna handles day to day.

Focus view

Open tasks grouped by due date: overdue, today, the coming days. Change status or date right there.

Project boards

Every project has a board with drag and drop. Projects carry a colour, a description and a status: active, parked, completed.

Effort, not hours

A rough S, M or L is enough. No time tracking, no estimation rounds.

Checklists and tags

Sub-steps as a checklist inside the task, flat tags such as “Client A” or “Phone” for cross-cutting views.

Recurrence and reminders

Daily, weekly, monthly or after completion. Reminders arrive as system notifications at the time you choose.

Search

One search across tasks, projects and tags – a single field for everything.

04 — Use cases

What Ordna is meant for.

Freelancers

Client projects at a glance

Solo development

Side projects and MVPs

Prioritise features, marketing tasks and ideas – with a backlog and a board instead of a ticket system.

Personal and study

Plans with several steps

Renovation, exam prep or a term paper: break it into steps and set due dates.

05 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How is Ordna different from a to-do app?

Ordna assigns tasks to projects and shows them on a board with a status from backlog to done. It adds effort, checklists, tags and due dates. Dependencies, time tracking and Gantt charts are deliberately left out.

Where is my data stored?

In a local Isar database on your own computer. No account is required. Sync is optional and runs through a Supabase project that you create and connect yourself.

Can I download Ordna yet?

Not yet. Ordna is in development; the core features are built, a first public release is still pending.

Which systems does Ordna run on?

It is built with Flutter, currently for macOS. Windows and Linux are planned, mobile apps will follow later.

What does Ordna cost?

The desktop app is meant to be free to use. Whether optional extras such as multi-device sync become part of a paid offering later is still open.

Is Ordna suitable for teams?

Not at the moment. Ordna is built for individuals. Shared workspaces and sharing are on the roadmap, but after the single-user features.

Tasks that stay out of the way.

No account, no mandatory cloud – Ordna runs locally from the first task. Still in development.
